UAS Laboratories LLC (Wausau, Wisconsin, USA), is celebrating a significant milestone with the opening of their new fermentation facility, located in Madison, Wisconsin, USA. This expansion is the result of a 60-million-dollar investment made to support their continuous growth and ongoing leadership position in the probiotic marketplace.
When asked about their growth, Kevin Mehring, President and CEO of UAS Labs, said “This investment reflects confidence in our current position as a probiotic leader and sets us up for long-term success as a truly integrated, total solution provider. In an industry that continues to grow globally, UAS must stay ahead of the curve to provide our partners access to the best products possible.”
As true pioneers in the industry, the team at UAS identified the opportunity for a fermentation manufacturer that was able to successfully commercialize a growing list of probiotics – both traditional species as well as strains recently discovered by their global partners. Pairing their team of probiotic experts, with a facility engineered for product purity, UAS now has the capacity to not only produce these strains commercially but also improve on standard industry lead-times.
With two facilities dedicated solely to probiotics, UAS Labs can control quality and value throughout the supply chain. Every step of the process is completed with an unwavering focus on safety, efficiency and quality.
Dr. Gregory Leyer, Chief Scientific Officer, spoke to this by stating “UAS has been committed to product quality, clinical research and scientific-advancement since 1979. Our new fermentation facility provides the opportunity to provide innovative, science-based solutions from probiotic strain to solution.”
While the investment was made in a physical facility, the real investment was made with probiotic partners and end-consumers in mind. UAS Labs will use this fermentation manufacturing facility to drive their mission of providing leading and trusted probiotic-based solutions through the creative application of science, quality and talent in mind. Lakeview Equity Partners, LLC, the majority owner of UAS Labs, continues to provide the capital and guidance needed to keep UAS Labs on the leading-edge.
